Dancin' in Bajio

Ever since we went to Joe's Crab Shack a few months ago (the waitresses and a few kids and brave customers dance the Macarena every so often there) Robbie thinks its fun to get up and dance at restaurants. Here he is dancing in Bajio today. Oh to be a kid again and not care what anybody thinks!!

Catch Up!

I know, I know, its been a while since I've posted anything besides wierd Star Trek stuff (the movie was great, by the way). This blog's been put on the back burner lately while I've been busy with work, a new calling, and lots of fun things to do now that the weather is finally nice! So, I'll catch you up on the happenings around here. Ari is growing and learning--she's ten months old now and is picking up baby sign language super fast! She can sign "milk", "eat", "drink", "pick me up" and is starting to get "more", "sleep", and "change". In the photo she's making the sign for "milk" (opening and closing her fist). It sure is nice to know what she wants (at least sometimes). She can now stand by herself for a little while and climb up the stairs and all over things--I'm sure walking will be coming soon!
Robbie has been busy building things with his tools, riding on his imaginary skateboard (while he sings his skateboard theme music), and sticking little wadded-up bits of paper up his nose. We're still working on the potty training--it seems to be taking FOREVER!We got new wheels with our tax returns. No, we didn't finally get a second car--we got new bikes! We've had lots of fun adventures riding aroung Draper with the kids in tow (thanks to the bike trailer inherited from my parents). Next time you see us we will both have "legs of steel" since no matter which way you ride around here your going to have to go up a killer hill either on the way there or the way back (believe me, we've tried every route to avoid this, but to no avail).

The Next Trekkie

Yes, we admit it, we are Trekkies in our house and are looking forward to the new Star Trek movie coming out on May 7th. I saw this "Trek Yourself" on my sister's blog and couldn't resist making Robbie into Captain Kirk. May the "Treking" continue to the next generation of our family!

Later: Actually, I deleted the "Trek Yourself" pictures because I was tired of hearing "Beam me up!" and "You are being highly illogical, my friend." every time I opened my blog!

Easter Fun

We had a fun easter egg hunt on Saturday with the Morrills. Here's Robbie and some of his cute cousins. Me and Ari in front of the Morrill's beautiful new tulips.

The grandkids not only got candy in their eggs, but got paid for the amount written on the egg. Spoiled! Here's Grandpa Morrill acting as banker.

Today we had a "spiritual" easter egg hunt with my family. Each egg had an object inside to remind us of the Savior's last days and resurection. Here's Robbie with my little sisters Ember and Keli.

Thanks to our wonderful families for making Easter so fun and special this year!

Fireman Super Hero

Sorry this is sideways, but its just such a good example of the little songs Robbie likes to make up. This one is about Robbie the Fireman Super Hero (he truly believes he is one, too). The rest of the words are just nonsense words as far as I can tell, but they make a pretty good song!

Applause

Ari loves to clap her hands lately--here's a cute little video.
