A New Temple in Our Backyard!

Well, not literally . . . but the new Draper temple is just a few miles from our house and we can see it from our back windows. Robbie loves to ride in the car to see the temple; it has been fun to see the progress. The outside looks complete now, they're just working on the landscaping and inside now. The open house will begin in January and then the temple will officially open in March or April I believe. Yesterday at church it was anounced that 500 volunteers will be needed from our stake on three different days in January, February, and March to help with the open house. We're planning to sign up!

Spiderman Loves to See the Temple

Here's a video I've been meaning to post for a long time. Robbie got into a singing mood (as he often does) while we were in the car driving home from a family reunion where he had had his face painted like Spiderman.

A Getaway at the Ranch

A few weeks ago we introduced Ari to one of our favorite places in the whole world, the Morrill Meadowbrook Ranch and Capital Reef National Park. My parents and their kids, Keli, Skyler, and Ember joined us for this fun little weekend getaway.

Here's video from Ari's very first hike ever, in the Grand Wash in Capitol Reef National Park. She slept most of the way.

Baby Pictures

Check out Ari's super cute photos from littlelimephotography.com. After you enter the site click on "Clients" and then type Aurelia as your password (it is case sensitive). I'm so impressed with this photographer. Her name is Shauna Powell and she does the photos in her home using natural light. And it was much less expensive than Kiddie Kandids! Which one is your favorite?

Blessing Day

Today was sweet little Ari's blessing day! Here she is with Grandpa Capel, Uncle Adam Morrill, Daddy, Grandpa Morrill, and Great-Grandpa Capel.

Nathan gave her a beautiful blessing. She was blessed to follow the examples of the strong women she was named after (Aurelia, a woman full of faith who I taught on my mission, and Marie, Nathan's great-grandmother who kept her family strong in the gospel). She was also blessed to be close to the Spirit, turn to God in difficult times, and seek both spiritual and intellectual knowledge.

We're going to get professional pictures of Ari in her beautiful dress next week, but here is a photo of her dress by itself (made by Grandma Morrill) and her blessing blanket (given to her by Grandma Capel).

Sunday Best

Just some cute photos of Robbie and Ari in their Sunday best!

Superman & Spiderbaby

SUPERMAN
On Friday Robbie saw some kids "flying" on Sesame Street and he decided he wanted to fly, too. He stood in the middle of the living room and jumped and jumped, but just couldn't seem to fly! He got so upset he fell on the floor and cried, saying over and over again, "I can't fly. I can't fly." Such a devastating realization for a two-year-old boy. Luckily he got over it pretty quickly and was contented with shooting some hoops.

SPIDERBABY
About a week ago Nathan was asking Robbie what his baby sister's name was and Robbie insisted it was Spiderman. He repeated the same thing the next day. A few days ago I asked Robbie if Ari's name was still Spiderman--he said, "No, its Spiderbaby." So here's sleeping Spiderbaby:
